Last weekend I was at CECE, the 10th Anniversary Chicagoland Expo. I just wanted to publicly thank show promoter and all 'round great guy Paul Maiellaro. Paul went above and beyond to make ALL the guest feel special and appreciated and on top of that he provide food and beer, and really, it doesn't get much better then that.
Over the weekend I was also introduced to The Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest Foundation. This is a wonderful charity that helps provide new toys to children who have to go through some painful cancer treatments as a way of encouraging them to be strong. In their words; "The Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest Foundation is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing comfort and distraction from painful procedures to children and teens who have been diagnosed with cancer, by providing gifts from a treasure chest."
I can't say enough good things about this charity or the heroes that run it and I plan on doing more for them in the future. Hopefully some of you will as well.
